Yogendra yadav publishes a mail on Fb 25th Nov 2014

Here is a letter written by former IAS officer (former secretary to government of India) and noted anti-corruption crusader Mr EAS Sarma to various central investigating agencies about the suspected money laundering by the Adani Group.
Mr Sarma has pointed out that the Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team on black money is investigating the matter and the State Bank of India should not have signed the MoU with the group under investigation for money laundering. Read the letter for yourself and please give a thought on what our Modi Sarkar is up to.

Subject: Ongoing investigation into suspected money-laundering by Adani Group

To

The CVC,
Directorate of Revenue Intelligence
Govt of India
Director, Enforcement Directorate
Director, CBI

Sir,

Subject:- Ongoing investigation into suspected money-laundering by Adani Group

The enclosed news reporst (Indian Express dated 23-11-2014: “Business SIT, CBI to look into Adani Group case”) indicates that SIT is conducting an investigation into Adani Group's suspected money laundering case. It appears that the company has over-invoiced imports to the tune of Rs.5,468 Crores and “siphoned off” the amount, apparently to some unknown account.

From the ICIJ website (http://offshoreleaks.icij.org/search country=&q=adani&ppl=on&ent=on&adr=on), it appears that some of the sharehoders of the Adani Group have offshore accounts which could have been in existence without RBI's knowledge. I enclose extracts of the relevant pages of that website for your information. Also, I enclose an extract of the shareholding pattern of Adani Group to show the link between the holders of the offshore accounts and the group.

I request Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to investigate these accounts as a part of the main investigation.

It is ironic that SBI should impromptu announce a huge loan of $1 billion to Adanis in the presence of the Prime Minister for the Group's Carmichael coal mining project in Australia, without looking at the implications of the ongoing investigation. The loan amount committed approximately equals the amount laundered according to the news reports!

I am confident that you will take these circumstances into account and place all the facts before the apex court appointed SIT.

I request you to inform the Finance Minister and the PMO urgently of the status of the investigation. I hope that each one of you will carry out the investigation expeditiously and fearlessly so that the the facts of the case may be established and the culprits, if any, brought to book.

I am marking a copy of this mail to MOF and the Cabinet Secretary for their information.

Yours sincerely,

E A S Sarma

AAP'S Delhi Dialogue for Youth

AAP unveils its agenda for the youth & students of Delhi
·         Student loan for college going students will be easy and hassle free
·         20 new colleges will be opened in outer Delhi
·         55,000 job vacancies in Delhi government, boards and corporations to be immediately filled-up
·         Degree, Income, WiFi. Aam Aadmi Party Laayi
·         Delhi will be a drug-free national capital
Delhi Dialogue launched its first round of public meetings on Saturday afternoon (November 15 2014), at the historic Jantar Mantar, where the youth of Delhi were brimming with ideas and confidence for the conference followed by an evening of musical concert.
This conference focused on issues related to youth, which were broadly divided into sectors/focus areas such as jobs, employment, skills, sports, culture, art and technology.

Over the past two weeks, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi Dialogue team led by Ashish Khetan, Meera Sanyal and Adarsh Shastri met with stakeholders on these issues ranging from bureaucrats, government employees and elected representatives, businesses, non-profits, journalists and other interesting persons with expertise.
They also engaged with several student groups and leadership organizations, along with youth brigades. Based on these roundtables, the AAP has developed a 5-point agenda plan that was unveiled for the youth at this event. However, this list is not set in stone and is open to amendments, revision and discussion.
At the event, elaborate talks on the current status and future of various issues mentioned above were delivered by party thought leaders including Yogendra Yadav, Meera Sanyal, Adarsh Shastri and independent idealogues like Shri Atul Bhatnagar, COO of the National Skill Development Corporation and Shri Mahesh Murthy, a renowned venture capitalist.
Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal concluded the first half of the programme by laying down the slogan for the youth – “Degree, Income, WiFi. Aam Aadmi Party Laayi”.
The following big agenda items were announced:
1.   Higher Education Guarantee Scheme: Students passing out from Delhi schools who wish to pursue any diploma or degree course after class 12, should be given a loan by banks with only one criteria, the securing of admission. The loan should cover their tuition fees as well as the cost of the stay. The loan repayment should have a moratorium for the period of education and one year thereafter. No student will be rejected a loan.
2.   AAP will open 20 new Delhi colleges on the outskirts of Delhi by creating partnerships with our local villages.
According to the National Sample Survey and various other estimates, there are about 3-5 lakh unemployed people in Delhi. However, this estimate is far too low considering the many manifestations of disguised unemployment and underemployment. To make an attempt to crack this issue:
1.   AAP will fill 55,000 immediate vacancies in the Delhi government and the autonomous bodies of GNCT Delhi.
2.  AAP will promote vocational education and skill-development of Delhi's youth in schools and colleges, to bridge the real skill-gap in Delhi. We will create the Delhi Skill Mission that will enable the skilling of 1 lakh/year for the first two years, ramped up to 5 lakh/year for the next three years of an AAP government.
3.   AAP will create an ecosystem to empower private industry to create more jobs and grow at a faster trajectory than the current projections for Delhi job numbers.
4.   The government will help transform invention to innovation by setting up technological incubators in universities and colleges.
5.  AAP will create innovative and private startup accelarators to provide support to entrepreneurs. We will start with providing 3 million square feet as part of the pilot test project.
6.  We will create sports facilities, infrastructure and effective human resource management for athletes, especially from Delhi’s rural and urban villages.
7.  We will utilize and open up Delhi’s sports stadiums and complexes to its youth and also open government school fields and facilities to every child to play.
8.  We will make Delhi a drug-free city
9.  We will make Delhi a wifi-enabled city.
However, the evening did not fade away into oblivion with some expert speeches and political agenda. A wonderful evening of entertainment and comedy was created by Bhagwant Mann, Raghu Ram along with Jasleen, Swaratma and Vimlendu Jha.

Kejriwal Fir Se

So after keeping Delhi in limbo for months the Lieutenet Governor was forced to announce the dissolution of the Delhi assembly(since in the next hearing the court may have ordered the dissolution of the assembly) . Last year in February when the Delhi Janlokpal bill was tabled int he Assembly, BJP and Congress joined hands to stop the bill from getting passed. Arvind Kejriwal had promised earlier that Janlokpal Bill would be passed if AAP came to power and incase they were unable to pass the bill, then all the MLA's of AAP will resign together . What AAP said, AAP did Arvind Kejriwal and all the other 26 MPs resigned .

In Delhi Assembly elections held last year although the single largest party was BJP with 32 seats the first timers Aam Aadmi Party had won 28 seats . The Congress was left with mere 8 seats. The Congress by itself went to LG and announced unconditional support to AAP if it forms the government. So AAP did a public referendum and most people were in favour of AAP forming a government with Congress's support.

The tenure of AAP in Delhi was rather short but it was full of action . In the first few days the electricity rates were halved ,then upto 20000 lts of water was made free per household per month. A call center was started where people could report  if any govt official asked for bribe. Some govt officials were removed when they were found asking for bribes. In fact a TV channel did a sting operation on which some officials some of them asked for bribes . Manish Sisodiya suspended them right then and there.

The Sheila Dixit government of Delhi swindled all the money that was allocated for building Rain Baseras for the homeless especially in the biting Delhi cold. When AAP came to power it was  December and in December - January the night temperatures of Delhi can be as low as 4 or 5 degree celcius. The AAP govt acted briskly immediately arranged for Porta Cabinets and some old unused buses  were used as night shelters for the the homeless.

The fact that the electricity companies were benefiting from tariffs set by the Sheila government can be gauged by the fact that when it was announced that an audit  would be done of the power companies by the CAG, the power companies moved to court to stop the audit. When they failed in high court they moved to supreme court. This shows that there is something wrong and Kejriwal is right when he alleges that the power companies have been benefited by the Sheila Government and they were hands in gloves.

There were reports from friends living in Delhi that the roadside stall owners actually lowered the rate of their services during AAP's tenure, when asked for reason the person said that because of AAP's government the Delhi Police was scared to take bribes and this lead to savings. He decided to pass  it on to the consumers which resulted in him getting more customers. A friend reported that a rickshawalla actually charged less than what he usually charged the reason he gave was because of the AAP government he no longer has to pay the Rs 5000 hafta to police anymore.

A few months ago e-rickshaws was banned by Delhi High Court , this e- rickshaws cannot be made legal till necessary amendment are made in the Motor Vehicles Act. In Delhi over 100,000 people had invested in e-rickshaws. They are from poor families and the livelihoods of their families depend on this. However the government did not show any urgency in amending the motor vehicles act. The result is the e-rickshaw drivers are not able to earn their livelihood. The government is elected by people so that it works for it and improves their standard of life . Unfortunately in India the ignorance of masses have resulted in corrupt and criminal people coming to power. This people rob the nation and leave the masses in poverty.

The nation needs to wake up, Delhi needs to wake and don't let this opportunity go. If Delhiites want to live in a corruption free environment . If the people of Delhi wants a government that is committed to work for their well being. If the people of Delhi want their daughters and sisters  to be safe in the city and if they want an excellent future of their Kids then Delhi must vote for #AAP . Since Modi's BJP govt has continued the loot of the nation, it promised acche din but is doing exactly the opposite.

Crackers, Diwali and Black Money

First of all I wish all readers of this blog a very happy and extremely prosperous diwali. Diwali as we know is a festival of lights the mythological reason for celebrating Diwali they say is that it is the same day when Lord Ram came back to Ayodhya from Lanka after defeating Ravan on the mythical Pushpak Vimana. This day was celebrated by all the residents of ayodhya by lighting lots of clay lamps ( maybe as guiding light to Pushpak to where it should land). While this is from Ramayana and we don't know for sure whether it indeed happened or not but Diwali has been celebrated with great joy by people across India.

But in time from being festival of lights it has now become festival of crackers. Especially crackers that produce lots of sound . Chemicals like sulphur , phosphorous , aluminium, cadmium, copper etc are used in the making diwali crackers. When the crackers are burnt they release harmful gases and suspended particulate matter into the atmosphere which can lead to acute health problems. Just today a news report stated that the pollution levels in Delhi (which already has high pollution in normal days) is found to be five times higher the day after Diwali. The news reports this morning showed that the streets were filled with waste of crackers.

Now where are this fireworks manufactured and who manufactures them. Most of the crackers are manufactured in Sivakasi and of course there are small and big manufacturers everywhere in the country and we have seen in news reports that most of the crackers are being made by children who are below the age of 14 years . This means that the fireworks industry employs child labour who with their bare little hands fill up the crackers with poisonous chemicals. The conditions in which they work are extremely harmful their skin is exposed to to the harmful chemicals mentioned above. In a firework factory where large amounts of such chemicals are used the surrounding atmosphere is bound to be highly and harmfully polluted. Imagine those little lungs being exposed to this poisonous chemicals. When it comes to pay they are given a pittance and are made to work 12 hours a day. You will find more information about it in this link

When you buy and use crackers you actually steal the childhood of kid . If the money we spend on crackers is spent of the education of this kids the nation would change.

http://hs6110-child-labour.blogspot.in/2013/03/v-behaviorurldefaultvmlo.html

Now what is the size of the firework industry in the country. People burn crackers depending upon their financial status there are one who spend crores and lakhs of rupees for just one night of Diwali fireworks. Even the poor people spend hundreds of rupees after fireworks so even by the most conservative estimates the average amount of money spent per individual on fireworks is at least ,at least Rs 100. So in a country of 125 crore people at the very least Rs 12,500cr was spent after crackers the actual figure maybe much more maybe 50,000 or 60,000 cr rupees . If this amount of money was spent on the underprivileged kids education like the ones who are working in the fireworks factories millions of kids would have benefited. The air and noise pollution won't have been there and Diwali indeed would had been a real festival of happiness and light.

So next diwali upwards I request every reader to say a big NO to crackers.

Jai Baba Media Nath !(Media misinformation effect)

Hi all this lovely article is written by Mr Amitava Nandy (https://mbasic.facebook.com/amitava.nandy.7?fref=nf&refid=52&__tn__=C)on his facebook wall

Jai Baba Media Nath !

“ Dekha, kayse Japan jit ke ghar wapas aya Modi Ji ?” Mr. Bajpai gave a smile of satisfaction to me from across the table !

This morning I have come from Delhi to Kolkata on an official tour. After a good lunch I was sitting at the table of Mr. Bajpai, Sr. Vice President ( Technical ), enjoying a cup of coffee with him !

“ Bajapai ji, you know that personally I like Mr. Modi. But still, even I could not find anything Modi ji did there that can be termed as winning Japan ! “

Bajpai ji’s smile became broader ! “ Have you seen how Modi ji threatened China ? No Prime Minister of India, not even Nehru or Indira dared to give such a strong warning to them !”

“ A warning to China ? But as far as I remember, Modi ji didn’t even take the name of China ! He only gave some oblique reference of expansionism ! May be he meant China, but that exactly is not giving a threat !”

“ Nandy ji, that is the way how a threat is given in diplomacy !” This time Bajpai ji’s smile was to underline my lack of knowledge ! “ Have you seen how China has offered bullet trains at a lesser price than Japan ?’’

“ But that shows a bad deal actually, isn’t it ? If Modi ji finalized the contract with Japan for a higher amount than what China is offering, how can it be good business ? And moreover, this whole Bullet Train business I consider superfluous, unnecessary, extravagant and to use stronger words, anti people ! To spend 11 Billion USD for some business men to travel from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and back; when they could very easily travel at the same price by air; ignoring the crying need of up gradation of the dilapidated railway track we inherited from the British, at most places in the country, is simply ignoring the masses for the so called benefit of the moneyed few !”

“ No, no, this is technical development ! Gradually we’ll have bullet trains all over the country ! It’ll save so much of time ! If you want development, you must make good use of time ! “

I didn’t tell him, to lay bullet train tracks all over the country, we’ll become bankrupt ! And I can bet, after this Mumbai- Ahmedabad bullet train, there will not be any other such train ! We simply can’t afford that ! If we can strengthen our tracks so that the Rajdhani & Satabdi trains can run at 200 km/hr, that will be a very good achievement !

I also didn’t tell him that I got stunned to know that Japanese aid is being taken for a 10MW Solar Power plant at Gujarat ! A 10 MW power plant ?

In India in the private sector, we build each year many 10 MW Power Plants at a cost of less than Rs. 20 crores each in which the fuel is waste material ! The agricultural wastes like, rice husk, sugar cane fibers after all juice had been taken out of them ( baggasse) or dried up mustard stalks left on the field after harvesting ! And we are taking Japanese assistance for a 10 MW power plant ? How can that be good business ?

Frankly speaking, this Japan tour of Modi ji, though I was very excited in the beginning, looked like more of a PR exercise to me ! All the time the focus was on what Modi ji had worn, how Mr. Abe had come to meet him in Kyoto, how Modi ji played the band or the flute, how he playfully tugged at the ears of a child or how he met the school girls ! The seven billion dollar annual loan is too puny to be called winning a country ! But all our media is busy in tom tomming the highly successful visit to Japan ! Jai Baba Media Nath Ki !

Only two things will stay in my mind ! After seeing the Lotus symbol at the feet of Buddha, Modi ji told Mr. Abe that it is his party’s symbol ! And not that, lotus is India’s national flower ! And while shaking hands with Mr. Abe across the table, Mr. Abe was looking at him, but Modi ji had his face turned towards the camera ! A strictly no, no thing in the diplomatic protocol !

But a man like highly educated and highly placed Mr. Bajpai is happy ! Most of India go by what the media tell them, so they are all happy !

And so, when the head line is “ Out of Form AAP’’, they believe that ! Who has the time to read the text which tells how painstakingly the organizational set up is being built by the party, how Kejriwal himself is everyday working on it and every week he addresses the volunteers in Google Hangout Session, listens to all suggestions and grievances and tries to sort those out ! Most people just brush aside all claims of good work being done by the AAP volunteers among the masses with comments like, ‘Kejriwal is finished’, because media tell that to them 24 X 7 !

Guj govt scams under modi

This post is not written by me but taken from the following link( https://mbasic.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=532730666856127&id=486418844820643&refid=17 )
Some scams under Modi Govt. in Gujarat :-

1) Land for Nano plant at low rate
The state government allotted 1100 acres of land
to Tata Motors Ltd (TML) to set up the Nano plant
near Sanand. The land was allotted allegedly at
Rs.900 per square meter while its market rate was
around Rs10,000 per square meter. Simply put, the
government gave Tata Motors total monetary benefit of
Rs.33,000 crore.

2) Land sold cheap to Adani Group Land was allotted to
Adani Group for the Mundra Port & Mundra Special
Economic Zone (SEZ) at Re1 per square metre. This is
grossly lower than the market rate.

3) Cheap land for ind, not for air force The Gujarat government allotted 3,76,561 square meter of land to real estate developer
K Raheja at Rs.470 per square meter, while the South-West Air Command (SWAC) was asked to pay Rs.1100 per square meter
for 4,04,700 square meter land.

4) Agriculture University land allotted for hotel State government allotted 65,000 square meters of land belonging to Navsari Agriculture University in Surat to Chatrala Indian Hotel Group
for a hotel project despite objection from the institute. This deal
was allegedly brokered by the chief minister through his office causing a loss of Rs.426 crore...

5) Border land for chemical firms. A huge plot of land near the Pakistan border was allotted to salt chemical companies said
to be close to BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu.

6) Essar Group's encroachment State government has allotted
2.08 lakh square meters of land to Essar Steel. Part of the
disputed land is CRZ and forest land that cannot be allotted as
per Supreme Court guidelines.

7) Land given to Bharat Hotel. Prime land was allotted to Bharat
Hotels without auction on Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway in Ahmadabad. The company has been allotted 25,724 square meter
land.

8) Corruption in allotment of lakes. State government, in 2008, awarded contracts for fishing activities in 38 lakes without
inviting any tenders;bidders were ready to pay Rs.25 lakh per lake.

9) Land given to L&T Larson & Toubro (L&T) was allotted 80 hectare land at Hazira at the rate of Re.1 per square meter.

10) Land allotted to other industries Instead of auctioning prime land in the major cities of the state, the Gujarat government had allotted the land to some industries and industrialists who had signed MoUs in the five editions of VGGIS.

11) Cattle feed fraud. The Gujarat government had purchased
cattle feed from a blacklisted company at Rs.240 per 5 kg.
whereas the market rate is just Rs.120 to Rs.140 per 5 kg.

12) Scam in Anganwadi centres. Two bidders apparently formed
a cartel and bid for supplying supplementary Nutrition Extruded
Fortified Blended Food (EFBF) to Anganwadi centres of the state. One company bid for three zones, while the other for only two. Guidelines were violated, causing the state exchequer a loss of Rs.92 crore.

13) GSPC . Despite an investment of Rs.4933.50 crore, GSPC
has been able to earn only Rs.290 crore from the 13 out of 51 blocks of oil and gas discovered by the company. Contractual relations of Geo-Global and GSPC deserve investigation since
Geo-Global is to be hired for a higher fee, above profit-sharing.

14) Luxury aircraft used by CM Instead of using commercial flights or state-owned aircraft and helicopter, chief minister Narendra Modi had used private luxury aircraft for around 200 trips in five
years. The cost had been borne by the beneficiary industries.

15) Rs.500 crore SSY scam. The Rs.6237.33 crore Sujalam Sufalam Yojana (SSY) announced in 2003 was to be completed by 2005 but it is still not completed. Public accounts committee of Gujarat assembly unanimously prepared a report indicating a scam of over Rs.500 crore which was not tabled.

16) Indigold Refinery land scam. Around 36.25 acre farmland in Kutch district was purchased and sold in violation of all norms by Indigold Refinery Ltd.

17) Swan Energy. 49% of the shares of Pipavav Power Station of GSPC were sold to Swan Energy without inviting any tenders.

18) Gujarat Rs.400 Crore Fishing Contract Scam

19) 'Saheb'love-affair with a girl and spying her thru illegal use of state machinery.
